General Musical Education (AMV)
Carin, our guitar teacher, also teaches this General Musical Education course at our Lekkenburg 148 location in Bloemendaal. We keep the group small, with a maximum of 5 children. The course is designed for young children who love music but are not yet ready — or big enough — to play a full instrument. Carin playfully teaches them the basics of music and how much fun it is to make music together.
Piano lessons
ConAnima's teachers have years of experience and listen carefully to what you want to learn and which way of working suits you. With their extensive knowledge of methodology and didactics they tailor each lesson to the student. Lessons cover your practice routine at home and the technical side of the pieces — and of course the musical side as well. At the Turfsingel, Hein teaches on Monday and Saturday morning, Floris on Tuesday and Mathieu on Friday. At the Lekkenburg, Hein and Eloise teach on Wednesday.
Violin and viola lessons
At ConAnima Music Academy we teach violin to children and adults of all ages and levels. Jorinde Buskermolen – van den Thillart is the founder of ConAnima and an experienced violin teacher who guides her students with great dedication. Merlijn Bakker also teaches violin at ConAnima on Wednesdays. With his enthusiasm and personal approach he is a perfect match for ConAnima's vision: making music as a source of growth, connection and inspiration.
Guitar and ukulele lessons
At ConAnima you can choose between classical and pop guitar. Each has its own technique and therefore its own approach. In the lessons we look for the right balance between mastering the instrument and matching the material to your wishes. We use a variety of methods and books to find what suits you best. The ukulele is the guitar's little brother: with 4 strings it is a bit easier to learn, very suitable for younger children, and great as an accompaniment instrument — for example for childcare professionals, teachers and people working in healthcare.
Cello lessons
At ConAnima Music Academy you can take cello lessons with two passionate and experienced teachers: Juan Limón Romero and Eloise Visser. Juan has a broad international musical background and encourages a natural, personal way of playing. Eloise brings a fresh, careful approach and works purposefully on a solid foundation. Eloise teaches on Wednesday at Lekkenburg 148 in Gouda (Bloemendaal), Juan on Thursday at the Turfsingel location on the edge of the city centre.
Music for Little Ones
Designed especially for children from 4 months to 4 years old, ConAnima Music Academy offers a musical journey of discovery that sparks your child's creativity. Our lessons are a cheerful mix of singing, moving, listening and playing with instruments. Guided by teacher Jorinde, children discover rhythm, melody and sounds while strengthening their social and motor skills. Lessons take place on Wednesdays and Fridays at the Turfsingel location.
Taster Course (violin)
For 10 weeks you try out the violin under professional guidance. There is a bit of theory in which you get to know the history of the violin, how it is built and which parts it has — all in a fun way. You learn the basics of violin playing and even a little note reading! You take an instrument home for the duration of the course, so you can practise at home too.
Music theory
In music theory the lesson material is tailored to the student's wishes. Perhaps you want to learn to read notes, or you are more advanced and want to dive into harmony, analysis or general music theory. ConAnima's teachers aim to make every lesson interactive. Based on your wishes we match you with a teacher.
